Non smoker at the sports bar

I currently am learning to play pool. So I hang out a lot at a sports bar. They have an outdoor smoking area out a back door.

I have asthma. And I'm allergic to cigarette smoke (or it's the same thing, smoke makes me sick)

Most folks are polite, but I've been getting pissed off, due to patrons holding the door open so they can smoke and talk to someone inside. It's not a huge bar and my friends (who smoke) always grab the pool table farthest from the smoking area so I can breathe.

I'm normally somewhat shy with strangers. But lately I've been getting rather aggressive and telling them shut the door, NOW !
I've even pushed a drunk out the door and shut it behind them (after asking them 2x earlier to keep it closed). Later I told them it was nothing personal, just my need to avoid the hospital emergency room. The idiot had the gall to say "my father had asthma and my uncle died of cancer, so I understand your point, but people who come to bars like to smoke when they drink".

Is it stupid to expect to go to a bar and breathe at the same time?

Last week I yelled at an older man who lit up inside the bar and
blew a big puff of smoke inside before stepping outside to smoke.

And then there was the drunk wandering thru while smoking. My
girlfriend grabbed his cigarette and put it out. This same genius insisted he was driving himself home.

The drunks have an excuse (lame, but at least it's an excuse).
The sober rude smokers are the ones I'm having problems with. I'm 5'3" and have never picked a fight. The bar owner is
supportive as are her staff.

I hope to continue to play at this bar. Without carrying a mask.

ps does it bother anyone else that smokers congregate at every door so you have to breathe smoke to exit almost every business?

So rant mode off......

have a good weekend.
